For the first time, the Aga Khan Museum, Aga Khan Park, and Ismaili Centre, Toronto will present a special program at Nuit Blanche! Visitors can stroll through spectacular architecture and gardens, view the art of Muslim civilizations from Spain to China, enjoy special menu items at the Courtyard Café, and take in a special Nuit Talk that stimulates the intellect and celebrates a shared global heritage.

In addition to hosting projects from across the city, Aga Khan Museum, Aga Khan Park, and Ismaili Centre, Toronto will present a special program that explores the power of words in the digital age.

From sunset to sunrise, interact with Faisal Anwar’s “CharBagh,” a virtual four-part Persian garden that blooms through audience tweets and Instagram posts. This real-time digital garden is projected onto the façade of the Aga Khan Museum. Use the hashtag #sensorycity to see what you can grow!

At 8 pm, join Sandra Singh (Chief Librarian, Vancouver Public Library) and Aziza Chaouni (Associate Professor, University of Toronto) for a Nuit Talk exploring how libraries in the East and the West may serve as places of creative engagement in the age of social media.

Free Shuttle Bus Service from the Art Gallery of Ontario starting at 6pm

Aga Khan Museum is open free to the public from 6-11pm

Aga Khan Museum, Aga Khan Park and Ismaili Centre Toronto host programs including lectures, seminars and exhibitions, and a range of cultural and social events for all ages and backgrounds, that stimulate the intellect, encourage dialogue, and celebrate cultural diversity.
